Women’s Sports

Rosemont College 2019 Women's Basketball Champions 

The women’s basketball program has been around since 1994 with a six-coach background. Also, in 2018 Coach Rayne Reber brought the first and only banner to Rosemont for the Women’s Basketball team in 2018 winning the CSAC. Coach Christina Floyd looks like she has improved in recent seasons and looks to hang a banner in the upcoming seasons.

The Co-Ed Cross Country team is coached by interim Coach John Solewin. The runners compete in events all over the Philidelphia area to improve their endurance running while competing for the Rosemont College team.

Rosemont College Women's Soccer 2023

The women’s soccer program has been here at Rosemont since 2011, with only three former coaches.  Coach Kathleen DeLitta looks to be the first coach to bring the Women’s Soccer team to a conference championship.

The softball team here at Rosemont has been around since 1990, with the only other sport being field hockey, giving the girls on campus another sport to compete in. The facility on campus has grown tremendously as you enter campus, you will see the Rosemont Softball Facility.

Rosemont College Women's Volleyball 2023

The volleyball program here at Rosemont started in 1994 with twelve total coaches since the program’s beginning. Christina Floyd looks to be the first coach to bring a conference championship to the volleyball program here at Rosemont. The team practices in the community center and Alumni Hall where the basketball games are played.

Rosemont College Baseball 2023

The Rosemont Baseball Program was started in 2021 where they began to recruit and form their debut team. The program is run by Head Coach Ross Trachtenberg. Playing their first season in 2022, the Ravens have grown tremendously through the 2023 season. Creating a Junior Varsity program for the 2024 season where they will have their separate schedule.

Robert Hughes is entering his 12th year as the basketball coach here at Rosemont, winning the CSAC conference championship in 2018. Bob looks forward to bringing another banner back to the school in the upcoming seasons.

Rosemont College 2021 Golf Championship

The Rosemont Golf team has had continuous success since 2017. Being a program here at Rosemont since 2013, the Ravens practice at Radnor Valley where they can use a driving range and practice facility. The team won 4 straight conference championships from 2018-2022, (2020 no Championship COVID) as they broke into the United East in 2022 winning their first year in the conference.

Rosemont College 2023 Men's Lacrosse Champions

The Men’s Lacrosse program has been at Rosemont since 2011 with a three-coach background.  Coach Ernie Shapiro brought the team their first conference championship in 2023 winning the CSAC. The Lacrosse program practices and plays on the grey shared with the soccer team, being the only grey-turfed field in division three.

The men’s soccer program has been around since 2009, with four former head coaches. John Loiodice came in 2020 and immediately changed the culture of the soccer team at Rosemont. Winning their first CSAC, (Colonial States Athletic Conference) conference title in 2021 they look to go for their 3rd straight this year in the new United East Conference.

The United East Conference

About the United East

The United East Conference is home to nine member institutions which compete at the highest level of NCAA Division III athletics. Founded in 2004 as the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC), the United East has seen its membership evolve to one that now emcompasses schools in Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia.

In addition to ranging from urban to rural campuses, the United East prides itself on being one of the most divers conference in Division III. It is comprised of both public and private schools as well as faith-based institutions, technical colleges and the largest deaf and hard-of-hearing institution in the United States.

The nine core members consist of Gallaudet University, Lancaster Bible College, Pennsylvania College of Technology, Penn State Abington, Penn State Berks, Penn State Harrisburg, St. Mary’s College of Maryland, SUNY Morrisville and Wells College.

Mission & Purpose

The mission of the United East Conference is to support its member institutions in their commitment to intercollegiate athletics by adhering to the NCAA Division III philosophy in a way that allows athletics to work in harmony with the educational mission of its member institutions. The United East hosts meaningful competitive opportunities while also upholding the highest standards of good sportsmanship, encouraging widespread campus involvement, promoting civic engagement and ensuring continued academic success for its student-athletes.
