Alumni Board Prospectives

Bios for the candidates on the ballot for the ’24-’25 Alumni Association Board of Directors

Khaled Ashraf, ‘19

I am a proud alum of Rosemont College. I've received two graduate degrees and a certificate from Rosemont, and I miss the school and faculty. The support of the staff and the hard work they put in to help students is phenomenal. I want to ensure that the momentum will continue with Rosemont. I would love to serve on the board to give back to a school that's given so much to me.

Melissa Glenn, ‘15

I work in higher ed and given the lack of college interest over the past few years, I have been eager to make higher ed relevant, valuable, and desirable from the perspective of students potentially too focused on short term output.

I have served on two boards over the past 10 years, one a community and legendary arts center and the other, my graduate school, La Salle.

My Rosemont family has provided me with the relevance and the privilege of being a college student that I first felt in my undergraduate years. I am to serve back to that community."

Melissa Glenn is a fiction writer with expertise/ practice in both schools of writing, creative and business. She's spent the past 16 years working in higher education in roles that included staff writer and professor for the Wharton School, and Deputy Department Chair and professor at the Fox School of Business. She's also taught numerous English classes and has mentored returning adult students. Most recently, Professor Glenn gave a reading of her soon to be released fiction work. Melissa deeply believes in the value of education, especially reading and critical thought. She graduated from Rosemont in 2015 with a MFA in Creative Writing.
