Facilities Rental

Rosemont offers accommodations for guests with a variety of conference rooms, recreational facilities, classrooms, and residence halls to meet your day and overnight needs. For private events Rosemont’s beautiful and historic Main Building offers an intimate setting for a memorable celebration. 

Our partnership with Parkhurst Dining Services offers quality food service and special catering services. We also host many camps throughout the summer.

The Sharon Latchaw Hirsh Community Center

The Sharon Latchaw Hirsh Community Center, which is more than  73,000 square feet, provides the campus and community with informal gathering spaces, as well as larger spaces for more structured events.  The Community Center is filled with bright light and comfortable furniture that will invite people to linger over coffee, gather in small groups, or just hang out with their laptops.

The 6,000-square-foot Sister Mary George Community Room is the largest room in the Center and is named for Sister Mary George O’Reilly, SHCJ, though the generosity of many Rosemont alumni who collectively gave more than one-million dollars in her honor. The Community Room, designed for multiple College functions, is available for rental to the community.  It can be a banquet hall, lecture space, or volleyball court, and can be divided into smaller spaces, increasing its flexibility.

Also available for rental are five smart classrooms, prefunction space, a boardroom/suite with its table that seats 35, cafeteria and café, and other areas that make the Center convenient for conferences with need for breakout rooms and cutting-edge technology. A fitness center and exercise floor offer spaces for between-session workouts.

The Main Building

Also known as Rathalla, which is Gaelic for "house on the hill," this mansion built in 1891 for the Sinnott family provides a unique and charming setting for any intimate occasion.

Auditoriums

Rotwitt Theater of the McShain Performing Arts Center

The recently remodeled Rotwitt Theater is a warm and inviting location for any conference, dance, musical or theatrical performance. The theater-style seating accommodates 351 seats, plus additional handicapped seating.

Complete with state-of-the-art light and sound boards, monitors and microphones, this theater is flexible for many types of occasions. Rental includes use of the lobby and greenroom.

Lawrence Auditorium

The Lawrence Auditorium, located in Lawrence Hall, is a cozier auditorium for smaller conferences, more basic performances and seminars. With great acoustics, there isn’t a bad spot in the 250-seat theater.


Classrooms

Rosemont offers classrooms that combine old-world craftsmanship and modern technology. Classrooms for rental are located in Good Counsel, the Forum Classroom (lower level of Kaul Hall), and the Global Classroom (lower level of Good Counsel).

Sports Facilities

Multipurpose Turf Field

Rosemont’s state-of-the-art turf field is the first full gray synthetic turf field in the United East Conference and the only known gray field in the United States. Lights are available for nighttime use for an additional fee. Rosemont is also home to a softball field and an indoor basketball court.

Residence Halls

Rosemont is home to three different styles of residence halls. The rooms range from singles, doubles, triples, and suite styles. There are public restrooms and washrooms.

The suites in Connelly Hall have two to two and half bathrooms including showers. Each residence hall is equipped with a washer and dryer. All residence halls have common areas or lounges on each floor.
