Congratulations on your upcoming graduation from Rosemont! As a soon-to-be Rosemont graduate, we want to keep you informed about commencement and graduation information.
Q: What day will ceremonies be held?
A: This year’s commencement ceremonies for the Undergraduate College and School of Graduate and Professional Studies will be on Saturday, May 18th, 2024.
Q: What time will my ceremony be?
A: 10:00 am – noon
Q: What is the location?
It is a tradition for Rosemont's Commencement to be held outdoors on Connelly Green. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will take place in the Rotwitt Theater.
Q: How many guests may I bring?
A: Tickets are NOT required for the Ceremony. Seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
Q: Where can I park?
A: Parking on campus will be limited; please arrive early and follow all instructions from public safety officers related to parking. Guests are encouraged to carpool or use rideshare options if possible.
Q: When will I get my cap, gown, and hood?
A: All members of the Class of 2024 – both UC and SGPS – are asked to visit the 2024 Grad Fair this spring. The fair will be held on May 1 from 4-7pm and May 2 from 9am - 1pm.
In addition to picking up your Cap and Gown, you will have the opportunity to visit different department tables including Career Services, Student Life, Alumni Engagement etc. The whole process will not take more than 10 minutes.
Q: Will there be a photographer there to take pictures?
A: Yes, a photographer will be at the ceremony to take a photograph of the graduate at their special moment of recognition. After the ceremony, you may order photographs online.
Since these professional photographs will be available, family members and guests are encouraged to remain in their seats, relax and enjoy the ceremony.
Q: What items are prohibited to bring to the ceremony?
To ensure that all guests have an unobstructed view of the ceremony, signs, flags, placards, banners, and large balloon displays are not permitted. Additionally, alcoholic beverages, coolers, controlled substances, wrapped gifts/packages, artificial noisemakers, whistles, including airhorns or bullhorns, firearms, fireworks, knives, scissors, needles, razor blades, or weapons of any type are prohibited. Any of the above items, or any item brought to campus, that poses a safety threat, or concern, or causes a disruption to the ceremony will be confiscated and its possessor asked to leave the campus.

A: Expect to receive an email from Rosemont College Commencement with specific instructions for the ceremonies.
