Information About Rosemont 2020 - the Plan to Reopen the College
Outbreaks of novel virus infections among people are always of public health concern. COVID-19, a respiratory disease caused by a novel (new) coronavirus, was first detected in China and which has now been detected in more than 100 locations internationally, including in the United States. General Health Tips
The CDC recommends everyday preventive actions to help prevent the spread of respiratory viruses, which also include the “common cold,” and influenza. The PLOS Medicine Journal provides additional information.
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are not available.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
- Wear a mask.
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
- Stay home when you are sick.
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
- Avoid sharing anything that has come in contact with saliva.
- Get adequate sleep and eat well-balanced meals to ensure a healthy immune system.
