Skills and Outcomes

Graduates will become “Agents of Change” and be capable of independent and reflective thought and action for our community through the cultivation of knowledge in the criminal justice system, criminology, social justice, and ethics.

In addition, this program offers broad-based education in the liberal arts and develops practitioners who are skilled in written and oral communication. Graduates will be prepared for a career in the field of criminal justice and have the necessary tools to advance into professional positions of leadership.

Delivered fully online, the Master of Arts in Homeland Security & Emergency Management (MA-HLS&EM) integrates the disciplines of Homeland Security, Criminal Justice, and Emergency Management with a dynamic foundation of ethics and social justice principles.
