First-Year and Returning Student Housing
First-Year Housing Deadline
June 1st
In order to be guaranteed on campus housing, new students (first-year and transfer students) should submit their housing applications no later than June 1st. Housing applications received after June 1st will be accepted, however your preferences may not be fulfilled.
All new undergraduate students (including first-year transfer students) must complete the Roommate Preference form, which is used to match you with the most compatible roommate available. Please be as honest as possible when you complete this form so we can successfully pair you up with another student.
Please note: all new students are required to pay a non-refundable $150 housing deposit.
Room Assignments
The Residence Life staff will attempt to assign you housing based on your preference, but we cannot guarantee this. There are a limited number of single rooms, so most students will be placed into double occupancy rooms. You will receive your housing assignment from your Rosemont email shortly after we receive your paperwork.
Room Changes
Students who wish to change room assignments may do so during the open room change period. The Residence Life staff will make every effort to accommodate your request.
Housing Selection for Returning Students
Housing selection is a time where returning students are allowed to select where they would like to live the following year. Students are assigned a housing selection number based on their number of credits, campus involvement, and student conduct standing, as well as other factors.
Housing Selection Day
Housing Selecton Day is the day in which you come and pick your room! You and your preferred roommate/suitemates/sinkmates are to use the best Housing Selection Number designated to one of you, and select a place to live. At your appointment time, you choose the room you want to live; it’s that simple!
